FMBE Awards 2022 opens for entry with categories further reflecting connectivity and sustainability

FMBE Awards 2021 - Aniseed Photo - full release - large-52FMBE Awards 2022 have opened for entry. The awards, the first in the UK to celebrate either field or brand experience marketing are now in their 18th Year, a year that event originator, Frank Wainwright has called its ‘coming of age’.

“We’ve reached adulthood at last”, said Frank “and we’ve only been able to so by growing to the next level of maturity with the industry as a whole. We’re held as a benchmark by so many major brands and they always make sure we are leading the way.”

FMBE Awards always celebrates best practice in its industry and this year has seen many positive steps from brands and agencies. Many used the enforced pause for the Pandemic to address long term strategies and to write new business processes – with many positive steps on working practices and sustainability taken.  We can expect a good variety of entries for Professional Agency Management (Category U) and the category has been rewritten to signpost the range of skillsets that it can showcase.

This year sees a few important changes that reflect the post-Lockdown era. Several categories have been tweaked to reflect the ever-increasing capabilities of live online events. Several have new wording to allow greater emphasis to be put on environmental KPIs.

In addition, the Special Award (Category V) for sustainability allows brand-agency partnerships to show off the environmental benefits of consistency and campaign continuation.

Finally, FMBE 2022 sees the second edition of our Campaign of the Year category, a category that proved a major talking point in 2021. Frank comments, “I have no doubt the category will generate even more buzz for award entrants in 2022. We have some ‘watch this space’ announcements to help with that in coming weeks.”
