Isle of Man Government’s Motorsports team reports TT Mayhem success

June’s TT Mayhem show, built by Gorilla, has been heralded a success by the Isle’s organisers.
The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT) drew to a close on Friday 7th June after a week of furious motorcycle racing and petrol based stunt displays. Gorilla Marketing & Events Ltd, the specialist events company, was responsible for creating, producing and delivering the popular “TT Mayhem 2013” shows, held every night on Douglas promenade after the end of the day’s racing.
In its third year of delivering TT Mayhem, Gorilla designed an even greater show than in previous years. Hosted by DJ BBQ, Christian Stevenson and local radio DJ, Matt Fletcher, it featured stunts and trick riding from some of the greatest FMX talent in the world today, cars and trials, together with crowd-pleasing giveaways distributed by the Monster Energy Girls.
The Gorilla team were operating at full throttle in the lead up to the week long event, building the Monster Energy stage and watchtower and creating the courses and ramps for the numerous FMX and stunt riders to amaze the crowds every night. This year’s TT Mayhem evenings also featured the Red Arrows, The White Helmets (Royal Signals Motorcycle Display Team) and the ever popular local display team, the Purple Helmets, as well as a host of additional stars from the FMX circuit including UK riders Jamie Squib & Chris Birch and young Spanish superstar Christophe Meyer.
On return to Gorilla HQ near London, Andy Gregorek, Gorilla’s MD reflected on a fortnight of high octane antics, “The team worked really hard to make TT Mayhem a screaming success, and judging by the big crowds down on the promenade every night I think we succeeded.”
Angela Crebbin of the Isle of Man Government’s Motorsports Team was unambiguous in her praise for Gorilla, “TT 2013 was the first time I have worked with Gorilla, the team are professional, efficient and a pleasure to work with.
