Maoam Mega Vend heads on 16 week tour devised by i2i Marketing

Maoam Mega Vend, a larger than life digital vending machine that offers gifts to fans that go mad for Maoam, is back and recharged with an amazing new ‘epic vend’ as part of the brand’s 2013 experiential and sampling activity.

Bigger and better than ever before Mega Vend, alongside a new mini Mega Vend mobile unit, will embark on a 16 week tour, stopping off at key shopping centres and non-mall locations throughout the UK inviting people to experience the madness of a vending machine like no other they have experienced before!

Mega Vend is a vending machine with a difference; it’s “alive” and no money is required!  Instead it engages with consumers encouraging them to go mad for Maoam, in return those who take part will receive a vended gift or sweet treat.

Adding further excitement Mega Vend 2013 will also be asking Maoam fans to ‘go epic’ for their favourite fruit flavour chew. During Epic Vend moments Mega Vend will randomly ask its fans to complete a Maoam mission – such as playing air guitar or singing a song in front of the crowd. Based on the crowd’s cheers, which will influence the Maoam Mega Vend ‘clapometre’, an overall winner will be chosen, winning a pair of exclusive Maoam headphones and iTunes voucher.

The Maoam Mega Vend tour will run from 20th July through to 3rd November and will see over 1 million samples of the brand’s much loved Maoam Stripes handed out to consumers. Over 16,000 items of Maoam merchandise will be given out to fans throughout the tour, including t-shirts, hoodies and retro bags.

The Maoam madness is set to continue online for those who aren’t able to experience the Mega Vend live tour. Maoam will be unveiling Mega Vend Recharge, a new app that has been developed for mobile and desktop use. Available to download from 15th August, Maoam Mega Vend Recharge will invite gamers to recharge the Maoam vending machine by completing a number of puzzle-like tasks.

The Mega Vend campaign and Mega Vend Puppet were devised and delivered by i2i Marketing. Mega Vend follows the success of the Maoam Mixer and Megatown campaigns, which were also delivered by the i2i team.
