Monarch promote flights with brand experience at indoor ski centres in UK

Monarch is highlighting its new ski routes to winter resorts across Europe with experiential activity at indoor ski centres across the UK. The scheduled leisure airline has appointed brand experience agency Flourish to create an authentic après-ski environment in the style of the classic `ski boot´ bar.

Designed to capture the spirit of life in the Alps, the Monarch Schuss Bar offers visitors the chance to learn about Monarch´s extensive route network whilst enjoying a tasty Glühwein or a chocolate chaud. The chalet-style experience will also communicate the wide range of services available on board Monarch´s scheduled flights through branded cups, cushions and stickers on the drag lift.

The Schuss Bar launched at Manchester´s Chill Factore on September 2nd. After three days there it will travel to SNO!zone in Castleford for one day today  before culminating in a four-day stint at Hemel Hempstead´s Snow Centre from September 8th-11th.

Monarch will host VIPs, press and invitation-only guests for one evening at each location, with the rest of the time given to members of the public to relax after a hard session on the slopes.

Monarch has also announced number one British woman skier Chemmy Alcott as the brand´s ambassador for its new ski routes. Chemmy is attending the events at Manchester and Castleford and will be on hand to meet Monarch´s guests and give them advice on their skiing technique. Flourish project director Catherine Smee commented: “We´re delighted to be working with Monarch once again. They needed a concept that would get their audience excited about their next skiing holiday, and the Schuss Bar is the perfect way to really fire up their imaginations.”
