SMP creates experiential roadshow for Bavaria

SMP has hit the road in its latest experiential marketing roadshow, encouraging shoppers to ‘expect the unexpected’ with Bavaria’s 0.0% alcohol-free beer. Travelling to The Royal County of Berkshire Show on the 15th and 16th of September and continuing over to Dortmund Square, Leeds from the 20th to 22nd of September, SMP, (the 2012 IPM agency of the year) will be distributing thousands of free samples and inviting the Great British public to use the ‘unexpected’ human vending machine which will be giving out some unusual surprises including fun free gifts. Supporting the campaign with a Facebook competition, fans can also enter to win an amazing and ‘unexpected’ prize with intriguing clues hinting at what prizes are to be won.

Sean Durkan, marketing manager commented, “It isn’t often that a challenger brand has the potential to really grow a category, but with Bavaria 0.0% that is exactly what we plan to do. It’s a great tasting beer from a company with a history of truly memorable marketing campaigns – we are not afraid to push boundaries.”

Matt Beech, account director at SMP said: “Once people try this product they will be buying it for a long time to come. This campaign is all about having fun and generating great spontaneous reactions and long lasting memories from a really positive brand experience.”
