Electrolux’s elite dining experience The Cube continues

The Cube by Electrolux, the unique dining experience featuring some of the UKs most respected Michelin star chefs, will now be extended until 31st December 2012 following a hugely successful first three months*.

The Cube is an initiative developed by Electrolux, a global leader in domestic and professional appliances and a company chosen by almost 50% of Europe’s Michelin star chefs to supply equipment to their kitchens.

Following successful visits to Brussels and Milan, The Cube by Electrolux has been positioned on top of the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, since June offering incredible views of the capital and truly unforgettable food to match. Electrolux has brought together some of the best chefs in the UK, who are supported by Electrolux professional product daily in their restaurants, to present an incredible menu for just 18 diners to complement the views from its enviable position on the roof of the Royal Festival Hall.

From October, double Michelin star chefs Sat Bains, Claude Bosi and Daniel Clifford, and winners of ‘Ramsay’s Best Restaurant 2010’ Jonray and Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, will be joined by even more highly respected chef talent. Two Michelin star chef Tom Kerridge from the highly acclaimed Hand and Flowers in Marlow will join the innovative project alongside Simon Rogan from the Michelin starred L’Enclume in Cumbria and Atul Kochhar of Benares who is famed for his innovative take on Indian cuisine. Lancashire’s renowned Nigel Howarth and Lisa Allen will also be bringing their own culinary style to The Cube as will London-based Tom Aikens – the youngest UK chef to have been awarded two Michelin stars.

Having welcomed over 4,000 guests, including a range of food-loving celebrities and critics, The Cube has also received rave reviews in the British press, having been one of the most talked about food experiences available in the capital city this summer.

Once inside The Cube, guests are able to watch their food prepared for them in an open plan kitchen, as well as interact with the chefs who share their hints, tips and techniques on creating fantastic quality food in their own home.

Graham Bremer, head of marketing for Electrolux group UK/IRE said: “The response to The Cube has been phenomenal and we are very pleased to have welcomed guests from all over the world to enjoy the experience. “Through The Cube we have been able to offer guests something very unique by allowing them to interact with these incredible chefs and take away hints and tips that they can apply at home. We are therefore thrilled to announce that even more food lovers will have the opportunity to visit between now and the end of December. “We are also very excited to be revealing an incredible line-up of talented and well respected chefs who will each be putting their own stamp on The Cube experience”.

The Cube by Electrolux seats just 18 guests around one table allowing them to watch their meal being prepared in an open plan kitchen, which is equipped with state-of-the-art Electrolux domestic as well as professional equipment –inspired by the company’s 90 years of professional expertise.
