GOLD REL Field Marketing – Weetabix

This team has exemplified ‘Team’ for many years and has long set the standard for ‘togetherness’ in grocery.

Gold had managed to illude them until this year after knocking at the door many times.  This year’s entry was titled ‘better never stops’ – begging the question, now they have reached this gold standard, will we see Weetabix attempt a repeat next year?

The team covers grocery, convenience and wholesale.

Better Never Stops was an acknowledgement that Weetabix was building from a successful base since REL Field Marketing first started working for the brand in 2016. This year’s entry, year two of a new contract extension, proved to be one where the benchmarks that had previously been attained were now nudged forwards, so higher strike rate, more cases sold, more incremental sales, more promotional compliance, more on shelf availability and upticks in the team’s Great Place to Work performance.

The teams stat for incremental sales really stood out. Weetabix asked the team to reach £6M, a £500K increase on last year, and the team made the target with an extra 100K, a £6.1M total.

FMBE judges noted that this was a team that is never complacent and stays energised looking for the gains sweating the small stuff, such as new clothing, faster hardware and random acts of kindness in order to shore up the big picture strategic results.

SILVER Elevate Field Marketing – Britvic

This team’s strongest impression is that of collective responsibility and FMBE judges noted the series of video testimonials from team members that showed off the team spirit that underpinned some superb (confidential) results.

Adam Russell – Director of Licensed @ Britvic testified to the coherence between client and agency: “The Elevate team provide a consistent source of growth in the On Trade for Britvic, at a faster rate every year. We love having the team as part of our sales channel, and the behaviours they demonstrate work perfectly alongside Britvic’s own values. This has made it easier for members of the team who have transitioned over to Britvic roles successfully.”

BRONZE REL Field Marketing – Adidas

The digital and physical product training team is in its second year since conception. It is operating in a space that represents a growing opportunity for field and brand experience crossover teams. This UK team is showing  the way forwards for Adidas globally and its 91% customer satisfaction score is regarded as a vital benchmark in a team that is rapidly going from strength to strength.
