FMBE Awards Shortlist 2023 announced
Posted by
FMBE Awards 2023 has been through a typically exacting process to create this year’s shortlist of finalists. The awards event is now open for table and seat bookings on a first come first served basis, with first booked tables taking priority positions. We will be celebrating this industry at The Pavilion, Ascot Racecourse, Thursday 9th November 2023.
As per recent years, judges assessed every category for strength in depth and were asked to produce a shortlist of 1-7 finalists per category.
This year saw several categories finally return to strength in depth levels seen before Covid. Field Data, Brand Ambassador, Immersive Event (Controlled Audience), Operational Success, Team of the Year and the Special Award for Evolving Brand Relationships all underwent especially tough judging debate to get to this stage.
Judges also noted that innovative use of data and insight had seen a step change both in data specific categories and in other categories.
Sustainability KPIs were also more frequently a core part of successful FMBE entries.
As usual some high quality and high-profile campaigns have not made the shortlist and entrants are encouraged to request feedback, which is typically provided after the awards ceremony.
Awards director, Frank Wainwright comments: “Congratulations to all who are shortlisted and commiserations to those who have not made the cut this year. We are exceptionally proud of the standards that have been set by our finalists, and we have been delighted to see the FMBE industry showing so much strength and versatility. The industry is performing well both in terms of Return on Investment and Return on Engagement. Our industry is showing how well it is placed to steer brands through the cost of living crisis, finding opportunities to stimulate long term growth and success.”
