Ciroc Premium Vodka announces BFI partnership

CÎROC Ultra Premium Vodka are delighted to announce their partnership with the BFI (British Film Institute) which sees the ultra premium vodka become Official Spirit of the 56th BFI London Film Festival for the first time.

The Festival showcases the very best of contemporary world cinema and last year hosted 207 feature films including 13 world premieres.

The Festival in 2011 drew the highest ever audience attendance of over 133,000 filmgoers, with ‘A List’ stars including George Clooney, Madonna, Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan gracing the red carpet.

CÎROC Ultra Premium Vodka – the red carpet drink of choice – will be supporting the Festival’s key Galas and events throughout the Festival, providing bars and bespoke cocktails as well as supporting BFI dinners and special events all year round. In addition to its activities with the BFI, CÎROC Ultra Premium Vodka’s support for the wider film industry will continue throughout the year with a programme of cinematic events and film premiere sponsorships. Bottles of Ciroc wrapped in specially designed artwork from the films will be signed by leading talent and auctioned at a CÎROC Ultra Premium Vodka collaboration Charity Event with the BFI.

The first major film premiere collaboration for CÎROC Ultra Premium Vodka was the Halcyon Gallery in Mayfair in November 2011. Dame Helen Mirren and star producer Kris Thykier got things underway by signing Ciroc bottles wrapped in the film’s artwork. Further bottles were signed by the stars of Pathè films’ “The Iron Lady” this January, creating collectable and highly covetable art pieces.

As a registered charity, the BFI relies on support from brands like CÎROC Ultra Premium Vodka to help it achieve its mission to ensure that film is central to everyone’s cultural lives. The BFI London Film Festival will be led by BFI head of exhibitions Clare Stewart.

“CÎROC Ultra Premium Vodka is committed to supporting the international film industry and in this case the BFI in particular. We are excited to be the Official Spirit partner of such a pioneering and important organisation and with CÎROC Ultra Premium Vodka standing for the “art of celebration” they are a perfect fit” commented Robyn Ward, CÎROC Ultra Premium Vodka

Tim Cagney, deputy chief executive, BFI said, “The BFI is thrilled to welcome Ciroc as the BFI London Film Festival’s Official Spirit. We greatly look forward to our first Festival with them and to building a long term partnership with the brand.”
