Aeroflot concludes masterclass experiences at Natural History rink

Aeroflot, Russia’s leading airline partnered ith the Natural History Museum to sponsor the ice rink through the holiday season.

Now in its 9th year, the ice rink is set in the grounds of the Natural History Museum in London and attracts more than 120,000 skaters, providing an ideal setting for Aeroflot to spread some festive cheer.  

To kick-off the partnership, Aeroflot teamed up with the London Evening Standard to give away 2,000 free tickets to readers via print and online competitions.

The competitions will ran throughout the Christmas period giving winners the chance to enjoy a skating session of their choice before the ice rink closed on 5 January.

Aeroflot is also offered a taste of the skating action that will feature in the Sochi Winter Olympics, by hosting a public masterclass with professional skaters who provided insider secrets that help to master the sport.  

As well as the action on the ice, Aeroflot had significant visual presence in and around the ice rink, with the Russian airline’s logo appearing on posters, promotional banners and perimeter boards.

Aeroflot, which celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2013, has one of the youngest and safest fleets in Europe, with the average aircraft age being five years old.
