Taste of London announces indulgent line up

Taste of London announces a line-up of some of the UK’s best chefs, a selection of more than 40 of London’s latest greatest and most exciting restaurants, live cooking demonstrations, interactive culinary features, masterclasses, live entertainment and more.

This year, Taste of London is set to welcome a host of world class chefs who will cook up a storm on stage at the AEG Taste Theatre: the mastermind of  two Michelin-starred, self-titled restaurant in Rock, Cornwall, Nathan Outlaw and the return of, Monica Galetti.  World-renowned chef Pierre Koffmann will be bringing his London restaurant Koffmann’s to Regent’s Park and Spanish/Italian specialist and entrepreneur Ben Tish will be at the festival with Ember Yard.  The line-up of chefs appearing at Taste of London also includes Pascal Aussignac, Francesco Mazzei, Daniel Doherty and Jose Pizarro.

200 taster-sized signature dishes from 40 of London’s restaurants will be on offer. New restaurants for 2016 include Sea Containers, Hook, Mole Taco Bar, Vanilla Black, Amico Bio, German Gymnasium, and M Restaurants.

In the AEG Let’s Taste Live cooking experience, festival goers can enjoy interactive hands-on cooking classes and pick up tips, techniques and secrets from Jeremy Pang owner of the School of Wok.

Visitors to Taste’s official Drinks Theatre will be able to sip their way through a series of free masterclasses covering a range of topics from food and wine pairings with top London chefs and sommeliers, to tasting and mixing ports and spirits.

Laurent-Perrier will be returning to Taste of London and this year and have announced their partnership with The Grill at The Dorchester. The theme of the collaboration is ‘entertaining at home’ where executive chef, Christophe Marleix and Daniel Brennan from Laurent-Perrier will conduct an interactive masterclass showcasing the house’s finest Champagnes paired with dishes cooked by the team from The Grill at The Dorchester.

The Tap Room will be offering craft beer and offering tasting sessions with master brewers from the likes of HonestBrew, Harviestoun Brewery, Wildman Craft Beer and Gipsy Hill Brewing Company.

Other features include The Wild Kitchen a rustic theatre showcasing back-to-basics cooking techniques using raw ingredients and demonstrating grilling, fermenting and smoking techniques all over a fire pit and wood fired smoker.

Taste Festivals partner DS Automobiles will be bringing together well know chefs to create new takes on classically inspired French dishes that are synonymous with its Parisian avant-garde spirit.

The Bandstand, curated by Coffee House Sessions will stage exceptional new music from London’s unsigned bands and singer-songwriters.

With a large offering of complimentary activities to take part in from champagne and food pairings, mixology and craft beer tastings to sausage making, this year’s Taste of London is set to be a fully immersive event rich in brand activations.
