The Lego Duplo Play Planet landed at the Winter Garden at Bluewater over the weekend and invited families along to a free live event, helping to harness the power of imagination through storytelling.
Guests discovered the Lego Duplo Play Planet, where little hands could build big adventures jumping from island to island discovering the many different building sets along the way.
There were three build islands on Play Planet:
- Animal Island – check out the Lego Duplo baby animals, Savannah and Arctic building sets
- Choo Choo Island – follow the Lego Duplo Number Train around the island
- VIP Island – look out for building sets featuring toddler’s favourite TV characters
Guests met Professor Story and listened carefully before starting their journey. He told stories about the Lego Duplo Play Planet and guests could make up their own stories through building with the material provided.
All visitors were given a Lego Duplo Play Planet passport, detailing the three islands and stamps were provided from each visit as a reminder of the journey. Lego Duplo information and colouring pages were also supplied to guests so the fun lasted long after visiting Play Planet.
Sharon Smith, Bluewater’s commercial partnerships manager, commented on the Lego Duplo Play Planet: “We were thrilled to welcome the Lego Duplo experience to Bluewater. It’s a great family themed activation and one in which guests can become completely immersed in. This event follows the recently successful Lego Friends tour, which also utilised the outdoor space here at Bluewater. We pride ourselves on our relationships with brands which sees them return time and time again and allow us to offer something unique, adding to the guest experience at Bluewater.”
