New Rugby World Cup 2015 partnership with Dove Men+Care

Dove Men+Care, Unilever’s leading male skincare brand, are proud to announce a new partnership that sees them become an Official Tournament Supplier of Rugby World Cup 2015.

As a result of the agreement, some 5,000+ deodorants and shower gels specially formulated for men to deliver high performance and superior skincare, will be offered to players from all participating teams across the duration of the Tournament. World Rugby Chief Executive Brett Gosper said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Dove Men+Care to Rugby World Cup’s family of major global commercial partners.

“The appointment of another brand sector leader with a passion for rugby to our record-breaking commercial programme is great news for the sport and further underscores the strength of the Rugby World Cup brand in the global sponsorship marketplace.”

“With a little over 100 days to go until England 2015 kicks off, I am confident of a very special, biggest and indeed best-ever Rugby World Cup that will reach, engage and inspire more audiences than any previous edition.”

Tickets for both the Pool and Knock Out Stages will be made available to Dove Men+Care customers through competitions in all major retailers, as well as through the brand’s own social media channel, @dovemen; a platform which was established 2 seasons ago, and which will continue to be at the heart of their campaign. Tying in with their product message ‘Care Makes a Man Stronger’, Dove Men+Care will roll out a comprehensive content strategy across both Twitter and youtube.com/dovemen as part of their #scrumtogether campaign.

Callum Galloway, Dove Men+Care brand manager: “The addition of this prestigious rugby event to our sponsorship portfolio is extremely exciting for both Dove Men+Care and Unilever as a whole.  Having established our commitment to rugby over the last few years, a partnership with Rugby World Cup 2015 is a natural extension of our existing relationships with the home unions* and one which will see a 360 brand communication campaign throughout the tournament.  We very much look forward to the next few months, which begin with the Autumn International matches and close with the RWC 2015 Final on home shores. As an Official Tournament Supplier, we also look forward to offering the world’s best rugby players our high performance grooming products across Rugby World Cup 2015.”
