Fitness studio Frame reforms Angel Central

CBRE Global Investors has announced that specialist London-based operator Frame has opened its 5,200 sq ft fitness studio at Angel Central, Islington.
The newly created bespoke basement space features three specialist studios: for Barre, Yoga and Dance; for Reformer Pilates; and one for HIIT and Strength training. The class-based fitness brand was founded in 2009 by Pip Black and Joan Murphy, with Angel Central its seventh London location, and also includes MumHood classes aimed at pre and postnatal mothers.
Commenting on the opening, Laura Wilson-Brown, head of asset management UK at CBRE Global Investors, said: “The redevelopment of Angel Central included a space designed and intended for a fitness operator, and Frame is a perfect fit with their existing presence in London and expertise in class-based fitness. Angel Central already has leading leisure providers in the O2 Academy and Vue, and Frame adds another dimension to this offer as we curate the destination’s line-up to the needs of Islington residents and visitors.”
Pip Black, co-founder of Frame, added: “This diverse and energetic Islington location is set to serve us well, with the bespoke space perfectly designed for our needs. We offer something completely different from other fitness operators, and are confident that Angel Central’s local visitors, workers and residents alike will love our fun-filled, energetic, and tailored classes.”
Following the opening of Uniqlo last month, Frame forms the latest leisure addition to Angel Central, which is currently being transformed with an £11m investment, part of an overall masterplan by CBRE Global Investors to improve the offer and positioning of the Centre. This extensive refurbishment will solidify Angel Central as a destination, bolstered by new retail, food and drink outlets, and leisure operators.
CBRE and CWM acted for Angel Central. Insight Retail represented Frame.
