Global entertainment media company A+E Networks has appointed Arena Media to handle its UK media account. The agency won the multi-million pound business after a competitive pitch, following the end of A+E Networks’ contract with Goodstuff Communications.
Arena Media will be managing all media planning, buying, strategy and reporting across A+E Networks UK’s portfolio, which houses among the most powerful brands in the media landscape, including History Lifetime, Crime + Investigation and H2. The agency’s brief includes the launch of A+E Networks’ first UK Free-to-Air channel later this year.
The experienced client team will utilise their experience in the entertainment industry to drive genuine business transformation that will enable A+E Networks to maximise its presence amongst its key audience, and measure success across all of its marketing activities.
Elliot Parkus, managing director at Arena Media, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with A+E Networks. As Agents of Change for Growth we look forward to bringing an exciting approach to the media space for A+E Networks with innovation and inspiration at the forefront to drive business transformation.”
Chris Hancox, senior director of marketing at A+E Marketing, added: “During the pitch process Arena Media really pushed us to think differently and we came away from every meeting feeling inspired. We’re looking forward to continuing this process and working with Arena Media to achieve an innovative and smarter approach to the media space.”
