AirPortr set to take off with Purity Staffing

AirPortr, a new premium luggage concierge service, is set to launch at London City Airport on 1st May 2014 – targeting the smart, modern day business and leisure traveller, with a service that will be the first of its kind in the UK and Europe.

Innovative travel technology company, Portr, is behind the launch of the service, and has partnered with Purity Staffing, the specialist staffing division of Purity, who will provide full HR requirements for the service, recruiting, training and managing the AirPortr teams that will be based at the airport.

AirPortr will allow travellers flying initially into London City Airport to have their bags picked up and delivered directly both to and from their hotel or office once they land, leaving them free to make the most of their day. Passengers can either book in advance either online or via their smartphone or ‘roll up’ at the terminal desk on the day and will be able to track the status of their bag using their smartphone. They will then receive an SMS to confirm when their luggage has been delivered.

Commenting on the appointment, Rob Quinn, MD of Purity, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with Portr on this very exciting, new initiative. It is a simple, yet highly innovative concept that our teams will be tasked with delivering from next month.”

Head of Brand and Marketing at Portr Limited, Chris Walsh, said, “The appointment of Purity to supply the AirPortr teams was the final link in the supply chain. They have experience in this sector through work with ARINC and Aeroflot and understand the importance of hiring high-end staff to represent a premium brand like AirPortr.”
