The Ford GT race car embarks on debut with The Clear Idea

Ford_Kings_Cross_littleFord’s latest activity used The Clear Idea’s transparent car transporter as a PR platform for the Ford GT’s race car debut at the season-opening race of the FIA World Endurance Championship April 17, 2016, at Silverstone.

Ford wanted to introduce the car to its audience before it hit the track by taking it on a lap of the busy London streets. The car was paraded around the city, on a route resembling the twists and turns of Silverstone’s track aboard one of The Clear Idea’s transparent car transporters. A single lap taking two hours and 20 minutes, due to traffic, ticked the event as Ford’s slowest ever track time.

The activity gathered plenty of online coverage on various publication whilst also generating over 1,000 retweets reaching an audience of over a million followers.
