iD Staffing launches specialist Event Manager Training Academy

iD Staffing, the promotional staffing arm of consumer engagement agency iD has launched its first specialist Event Manager Training Academy in London.

The academy held at exclusive venue Altitude situated in London’s historic Millbank Tower saw over 40 event managers attend from across the UK, to further enhance their knowledge and management skills across live experiential campaigns. The Training Academy explores the key elements that help bring experiential campaigns to life and educates event managers on the importance of iD’s internal processes including:

  • Staff management and motivation
  • Client liaison skills and account management processes
  • Campaign production and logistics

The Event Manager Academy is part of a wider portfolio of training initiatives that iD now offer to their database of over 5000 skilled Event Managers, Brand Ambassadors and Product Demonstrators – with a clear focus on nurturing and motivating staff across the promotional staffing sector.

Earlier this year iD also launched their first In-store Assessment and Training Workshop, implemented to teach experienced demonstrators additional skills to engage consumers and close crucial sales.

The Event Manager Training Academy will be rolled out across the UK & Ireland throughout 2014. Claire Bloxham, director of iD Staffing said, “The EM Academy is the perfect chance for us to share our knowledge and expertise of the industry with those that are vital to the success of our campaigns. We are confident that a strong event management team representing our brands out in the field will ensure that our live campaigns are successful for all involved.”

James Elston, event manager, added, “It’s great for an agency like iD to not only recognise our talent but to help develop our key skills. It was an extremely insightful day and I learnt a great deal about the fundamental elements that go into creating a successful experiential campaign.”
