Jack Morton was appointed by Sony Mobile to create its experience at Mobile World Congress (MWC). The brand and agency have worked together at the event for nine consecutive years. MWC, the premiere mobile industry gathering, takes place at Fira Gran Via, Barcelona from the 25 th to the 28 th February.
At this year’s MWC, Sony Mobile redefined its smartphone vision with three new Xperia smartphones which feature unique 21:9 displays offering widescreen entertainment experiences. Sony’s wider technology and entertainment portfolio and heritage have culminated in the new smartphones – Xperia 1, Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus – which are brought to life at the event showcase through immersive real-world scenarios.
The flagship Xperia 1 smartphone features the best of Sony’s consumer and professional imaging experiences enabling users to enjoy content as their creators intended. This is brought to life at the show through a ‘Café’ and ‘Street Scene’ film studio experience in which guests can get hands-on with the camera technology in both bright and low-lit environments. In addition, Xperia 1 features immersive Dolby Atmos® sound quality, which is demonstrated in a cinema environment where guests can compare audio of feature films with the same output on the mobile device.
Mike Kunheim, Managing Director at Jack Morton, commented, “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to delve into Sony’s technological expertise to create an accessible and immersive experience which showcases these fantastic new Sony Mobile devices.”
