Lavazza set to serve up 1 million coffees at Wimbledon

For the fourth consecutive year Lavazza is proud to share the Italian espresso experience as the official coffee of Wimbledon.

The partnership between Lavazza and Wimbledon dates back to 2011, and since then players and spectators at the tournament have been enjoying the coffee that is the essence of the Italian lifestyle.

Lavazza is offering at its authenically Italian experience at 60 points of service, including 13 cafés and restaurants, all corporate hospitality areas, the media centre, as well as  the areas reserved for the tournament’s players and officials, with more than 200 coffee machines deployed. 

Six hundred baristas trained directly by the Lavazza Training Center are working at what onsidered to be the largest coffee shop in the world. If all of the numbers are added together, over one million coffees are served during each edition.

“The new tradition” has become the concept underlying Lavazza’s participation in Wimbledon: Its coffee has consolidated its position as a “new” and yet “traditional” flavour experience, lending the tennis tournament most coveted by athletes and one of the world’s most prestigious events an unmistakable Italian flavour.
