London Transport Museum opens first pop up shop with branding by Holmes & Marchant

Holmes & Marchant has created the branding for the first London Transport Museum pop-up shop in the capital, opening this week.

The agency’s branding work has added energy and immediacy to the museum’s identity, creating a compelling offer for consumers.

The pop-up shop sits in South Kensington’s Tube station, will be open daily from 10.00 to 19.00, and promises to be a one-stop-shop for time-pressed commuters looking for quirky Christmas gifts.

Consumers will be able to find TfL-inspired fashion, homeware and gifts – some of which feature the moquette fabric patterns found on public transport seating – in addition to toys, stationery, souvenirs, and the opportunity to buy tickets to the London Transport Museum.

The shop will also offer consumers the chance to browse through the museum’s world leading poster archive through a dedicated iPad interface, allowing them to use the print-on-demand poster and frames service.
