Malaysia Kitchen embarks on Tesco sampling tour

Malaysia Kitchen, the program created by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) to promote Malaysian food and products within the UK, is taking a tour of Tesco across the UK to sample key products.

The tour takes place over ten days, visiting Tesco stores between  2nd June and 11th June and takes in the following locations: Basildon on Sea, Pitsea, Amersham, Kingston, Weston Favell, Kew, Cardiff, Bristol, Isleworth and Rotherhithe.

Tesco is currently stocking four varieties of the Malaysian favourite, Vits Noodles along with Deli Ben Crispy Prawn Chilli Paste The paste is a Malaysian favourite and can be added to dishes to add extra spice or used as a dip and can be found everywhere in Malaysia from homes to restaurants.

Khairul Nizam Moonier, trade commissioner, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) says, “One of our major goals for our ongoing campaign is to encourage trial of key Malaysian products. Once customers are able to try the products for themselves and see how easy Malaysian dishes are to make at home, we can really begin to make a difference.”
