Power Logistics set for extended generation days

Power Logistics recently purchased twenty six brand new generators. The sets, with a variety of outputs, from 30 – 250 kva, have all been specifically designed for event projects with specialist outlets, control panels and design parameters.

The large capital investment sees six 30kva, six 80kva, ten 100kva and four 250kva sets added to Power Logistics existing fleet of generators. Four members of the Power Logistics team have received specialist training to work with the new sets; two project managers, a service manager and an apprentice. The generators can all be linked together to load share and have event socket arrangements, allowing the sets to be used in insolation or together to provide the perfect power solution whatever the size or nature of the event.

The new sets have already been in use at a number of high profile events this Summer. Many of them were used to provide power for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations; from video screens and camping areas for the River Pageant and the concert at Buckingham Palace, to supporting the production back of house functions in and around the Mall. Highlighting the equipment’s flexibility; two 250kva generators were recently used to power Admiral Insurance’s family fun day, and when increased capacity was required Power Logistics was able to bring in a third set and link it seamlessly to supply the additional power required.

Mike Whitehouse, Power Logistics’ managing director, states: “Investment in kit and adding to our already substantial fleet of generators underpins our commitment to supply uninterrupted power to clients. As a leading provider of temporary power for events we want to ensure that we have the best available equipment on the market.”

As well as well installing the generators as part of their complete project management and consultancy service, Power Logistics will also dry hire the new sets to businesses with the necessary experience and qualifications.
