Retail Marketing wins Thames business award for employee engagement

Retail Marketing, a Reading based company who provide field marketing services to household names in the consumer electronics sector has been awarded the “Best Company to work for in the Thames Valley” for the second year in a row.

The award, sponsored by Hays Recruitment, recognises an employer who goes the extra mile to create a company which offers employees the opportunity to develop, communicates effectively with them, provides an inspiring office environment and engages their employees for the benefit of all.

Commenting on the entry the judges remarked “This is a truly unique company, where the management team really do want the happiness and engagement of their staff to be central to the success of the business.”

Having secured the award in 2013 competition was strong, however Retail Marketing has continued to work hard on engaging all its employees. This year has seen the business hiring a branded double decker bus to tour across the UK, an entire revamp of their office environment as well as introducing a new role of director for engagement.

Commenting on the award chief executive officer and founder Warren Richmond commented:

“My personal beliefs have always majored on building business that inspires, performs and above all brings a sense of enjoyment; life is too short to not enjoy what you do!

To continue this level of enjoyment we must constantly asses our own performance and develop ourselves as this is the only way we will evolve in an ever changing society; change is evolution.”

The award adds to previous business acolades for the agency as reported in January
