The British Amateur Boxing Association’s two year partnership with PharmaNutricals

THE British Amateur Boxing Association (BABA) has agreed a two-year deal with PharmaNutricals to be its Official Nutrition and Sports Drink Partner.

The agreement will see PharmaNutricals supply the Men and Women’s GB Boxing squad with nutrition products as part of their preparations and training for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

The partnership was negotiated via Generate which is working with GB Boxing on its commercial strategy, broadcast partnerships and sponsorship acquisition.

The BABA’s Chief Executive, Matthew Holt said: “PharmaNutricals decision to partner with the BABA is a sign of the success we have achieved with the World Class Performance Programme for boxing over a number of years.”

As part of the deal, PharmaNutricals aims to work with the boxers and the BABA’s lead nutritionist, Mark Ellison, to develop bespoke nutrition products specifically designed to meet the dietary requirements of individual boxers.

Mark Ellison said “Doing everything we can to help improve the training and performance of our boxers is central to the way we run the programme.  This new partnership has the potential to contribute to this through the quality and rigorous testing of the products supplied to us by PharmaNutricals and potential to go a step further and develop bespoke nutrition solutions for individual boxers with the use of the online PN Custom Service.”

Dr Qamar Nawaz, CEO of PharmaNutricals said: “It is a privilege to be part of the Rio 2016 Olympics Campaign, working with elite athletes and developing a working relationship in order to offer nutritional products to up to 1,000 grass root clubs across Great Britain encouraging the use of Elite Products at preferred partner discounts.”
