Westfield announces return of Music Cube

Westfield has announced the return of MUSIC CUBE – the innovative pop-up live music festival –to Westfield Stratford City and Westfield London

Building on the success of last year, artists and bands from major and independent labels will perform live in a custom-built soundproof glass cube, complete with LED surround. At 4.75m high by 5.98m wide, MUSIC CUBE architect Nicholas Alexander, has created a space that is large enough for bands to perform in, and an object that won’t be dwarfed by the scale of the installation space at Westfield. Music fans will tune in through wireless state-of-the-art Sennheiser headphones and experience the bass through the air-blast vibrating floor system for a fully immersive experience.

MUSIC CUBE is amplified by brand partners Sennheiser, Infinti and KISS FM who are all returning to support the experience for a second year. Audio specialist Sennheiser, returns to MUSIC CUBE as part of a three year partnership with Westfield, in which the two brands will bring their audio and music experiences to the centres, including their top of the range pro-audio equipment for MUSIC CUBE audiences.

Fiona Kyle, general manager events & entertainment for Westfield UK & US comments: “We are delighted to be bringing MUSIC CUBE back to fans for a second year. Last year tickets were snapped up within hours, giving fans a chance to connect with artists, sound and bass like never before. With major headliners such as Jess Glynne, we expect a similar rush when tickets are released in July. For those who can’t make it down to Westfield, look out for performances being streamed free online.”

Gemma Robinson, strategic collaborations manager – EMEA at Sennheiser comments: “We are very excited to be part of the MUSIC CUBE for the second year running. With music being an integral part of this innovative event, we want to give consumers the best sound experience possible.”

Having launched in October 2014, MUSIC CUBE was hailed as an innovative and exciting new music concept and further cemented Westfield’s position as a premier entertainment destination.

Artists who appeared in 2014 include Professor Green, MNEK, Jess Glynne and Neon Jungle. 100 free tickets will be available for each MUSIC CUBE performance from Monday 20 July at
