Wonder London brings Google to life in its largest cloud event in Europe

The largest Google Cloud event in Europe, Google Cloud Next, took place in London. Developed with independent events agency Wonder London, the two-day conference marks the start of a six-stage series spanning the continent.
Google Cloud Next invites tech leaders, developers and IT decision-makers to explore the latest innovations in cloud technology, while experiencing what it feels like to be part of the Google community. Wonder London was tasked to design a free, interactive conference experience with a flexible agenda, allowing delegates to personalise content to meet their specific needs.
Delegates can choose from ten hours of content from 50+ speakers on a range of cloud-based topics. Guests will attend the main plenary for keynote speeches from Google Cloud Senior Vice President Diane Greene, Vice President EMEA Sébastien Marotte and CTO Brian Stevens, before being free to move between separate sessions. The event space features an interactive playground with demo pods from 25 key brand partners, including Accenture, Fastly and Intel, with opportunities to trial Google products such as Jamboard, Pixel, Spanner and Tiltbrush. Meanwhile, business owners who already use Google Cloud services will be on hand to talk to and advise guests.
An expert in bringing brands to life in physical form, Wonder London worked with the brand to design and build a unique Google experience that could be rolled out across six European cities: London, Madrid (8 June), Amsterdam (21 June), Milan (28 June), Stockholm (3 October) and Paris (19 October). The European series follows an official launch in San Francisco, held on 8-10 March this year, and expects to attract over 11,000 delegates, with up to 8,000 attending the London launch over the two days.
The 2017 roll-out is a second iteration of Google Cloud Next, the first of which took place across 2016. Long-time Google partner Wonder London devised and aided the 2016 leg, winning the 2017 pitch off the back of its success.
Ben Turner, founder and managing Director, Wonder London, said: “We have worked with Google for over four years and were thrilled with this new opportunity. At Wonder London, we help businesses achieve their objectives by bringing their brand to life in bespoke event spaces that are engaging, strategic and thought-provoking, yet beautifully-designed. Showcasing Google Cloud services in a way that is consistent with the brand but could be rolled out across different European markets was technically very complex and challenging, but hugely exciting.”
