Families head to intu shopping centres for a hi-tech half term

intu robo week littleintu provided a week of robot-building fun during a hi-tech half term of daily activities at their shopping and leisure destinations.

The free events at 14 intu shopping centres nationwide, including intu Trafford Centre, intu Lakeside and intu Metrocentre, also included the chance to take part in robot races, robot dance classes and the opportunity to meet 7 ft 9 inches robot Titan as he visited some intu centres during the week.

intu’s nationwide “Shopperview” panel, made up of customers of its 14 centres up and down the country, selected the robot-inspired theme for half term week after they were polled on the activities they’d most like their children to take part in during the half term holidays

Roger Binks, intu’s customer experience director and chief robot inventor, said: “We were excited to be bringing families a fun-packed week of free events and activities that helped them make the most of a visit to one of our centres over the school holidays.

“It’s the latest compelling event to be created by intu thanks to valuable insight from our customers.”
