Frank PR wins Anki account

Frank PR has been awarded the UK consumer account for robotics and artificial intelligence company Anki after a competitive pitch.

Based out of San Francisco, Anki is one of the foremost pioneers in entertainment robotics and launched on to the scene with the smash-hit debut of Anki drive – the award-winning robotic battle-racing game. Continuing its revolution in the world of play, this September will see the follow-up release of Anki Overdrive which Frank is tasked with making one of the most eagerly anticipated games of the year.

Embarking upon a period of aggressive growth within the UK market, Frank has been enlisted to amplify Anki’s brand reputation, making it a household name whilst cementing its credentials as one of the world’s most pioneering consumer robotic companies.

Anki’s senior director of marketing communications, Peter Van Nguyen, said: “Anki OVERDRIVE is quite literally a game changer bringing robotics and artificial intelligence into our daily lives; we needed a communications agency that was aligned with our huge appetite for growth and development. We’ve pinpointed the UK as an Anki stronghold, so with Frank’s fantastic creativity and extensive experience we feel ready to push the toy and videogame industry to the next level.”

Andrew Bloch, Frank founder & group managing director, added: “Anki is a truly remarkable company who is pioneering the future of consumer robotics in the home. Having had an advance preview, the technology and AI on display in Anki OVERDRIVE is absolutely mind-blowing and we’re 100% confident that it will be one of Christmas’ must have gifts.”
