Gateshead FC lands intu Metrocentre support

intu Metrocentre has become the home shirt sponsor of Gateshead FC for the first time, fulfilling a long held ambition by the club to work with the shopping giant .

The centre will not only have its logo featured on the shirts but will also work in partnership with the club on its community engagement.

“We are absolutely delighted to have intu Metrocentre on board,” said Graham Wood, chairman of Gateshead FC. “To be supported by such a high profile organisation and one of the region’s biggest employers is fantastic for us. It’s also the perfect fit because not only are we both based in Gateshead but also because supporting and working with the community is an important objective for both of us. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”

Gavin Prior, general manager of intu Metrocentre added that working with the club showed the centre’s commitment to supporting local organisations.

“We know what a successful season Gateshead FC had last year and we hope to see them go on to even bigger and better things this year,” he said.
