Ingenuity acquires Reg&Co

FMBE’s recent interview with Karen Morris, Reg&Co

Leading new business consultancy, Ingenuity,  announces the acquisition of sponsorship specialist Reg&Co for an undisclosed sum. Reg&Co’s Founder Karen Morris and Director Stu Richmond, now reporting into Ingenuity founder and CEO Chris Kemp, will remain in their existing roles.

Ingenuity’s existing brand partnerships division is run by Managing Partners Chris Wilson and Hugo Bennett and specialises in sponsorship, licensing, promotions, and brand activations.

The division has seen rapid growth in recent years and this acquisition is designed to build on that success – bolstering the team’s sponsorship offer and strategic consulting services.

Reg&Co was founded in 2003 by Karen Morris, formerly under the name brandmeetsbrand (rebranding to Reg&Co in 2017). Karen’s earlier career included time as Head of Commercial at Classic FM and as Sales Director at WPP-owned agency Premier.

Reg&Co brings with it an impressive client roster – including Somerset House, TfL, British Gymnastics, Photo London, The Ideal Home Show, The Friends Experience and The Royal Institution.

The deal reflects Ingenuity’s ambitious growth plans, following on from its acquisition of Future Factory last year. The group now stands at 150+ employees, with outposts in Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester, in addition to the London HQ.

Chris Kemp, CEO and Founder of Ingenuity, said:

“I’m pleased to announce Ingenuity’s acquisition of Reg&Co. This wouldn’t have been possible without the runaway success of our Brand Partnerships division over the past eight years – this move serves to consolidate and build upon this success and will take it to new heights.

Ingenuity will continue to offer the whole ecosystem of services that we always have, but now we will be primed to reach a broader range of clients than ever before.”

Chris Wilson, Managing Partner – Brand Partnerships, said:

“We have always admired the work that Reg&Co does in the sector and know working with the team will be instrumental in the continued evolution of our Brand Services offering. We, as a team and as a wider business, are genuinely excited about where this new partnership will take us.”

Karen Morris, Founder of Reg&Co, said:

“The team and I are excited to join forces with Ingenuity, who do brilliant work in the Brand Services sector as well as more widely. I am confident this deal will do fantastic things for Reg&Co, for Ingenuity, and most importantly for our clients.”
