RPM has announced two new additions to the senior team. Ruth Henderson is joining as a senior strategist, alongside Laurel Davis as head of creative communications.
Henderson is joining RPM’s strategy team, where she will focus on social, brand and innovation. She brings a wealth of experience, having headed up strategy at leading social content agency Redpill. Previous work includes a national rebrand for St. Andrews First Aid in Scotland, product innovation for start-ups, brand consultancy and creative copywriting.
John Vicars, strategy director at RPM, comments: “Ruth brings further diversity to the strategy team as we continue to build our capability across brand, commercial and the challenge of increasingly complex integrated context planning.”
Ruth Henderson, senior strategist at RPM, adds: “RPM is a brilliant balance of all the things I value the most. Smart strategy, impactful creative and a genuinely nurturing and collaborative working culture. Their creative output delivers meaningful results time and time again. In the words of Annie, I think I’m gonna like it here.”
New head of creative communication, Laurel Davis, joins from Ogilvy Brisbane, where she held the role of creative director. At Ogilvy, Laurel’s responsibilities included working on a national retail brand while dabbling in long form branded content and documentary film production on the side. Davis has over 13-years industry experience, including developing creative campaigns for a diverse roll call of global and local brands across fashion, FMCG, leisure and entertainment. Her Aussie/London creative comms work includes stints in Sydney (Publicis Mojo) and London (Meteorite, Publicis, The Marketing Store).
At RPM, she will be working with director of creative and strategy, Rob Wilson, leading a team of five with responsibility for developing integrated ideas and strategies around the agency’s key belief in the power of brand experience and brand action.
Laurel Davis, head of communications at RPM, comments: “I really believe in building brands around people, on creating genuine experiences, finding those little nooks where clever opportunities lie and making work that really connects. RPM’s experience-first ethos and collaborative, inclusive agency culture really resonated with me. I’m excited to play my part in driving their already outstanding creative potential even further.”
Rob Wilson, director of creative and strategy at RPM, adds: “We’re delighted to welcome Laurel to RPM, she brings a wealth of experience working in all channels and media and developing agency talent and has a real passion for the craft of creativity.”
