Spafax brings together American Airlines and Austin City Limits to deliver the Music series to American Airlines’ Passengers

Global entertainment and media agency, Spafax, has brought together KLRU-TV’s PBS series Austin City Limits and American Airlines, to offer episodes from the concert series on board American Airlines flights. The partnership provides American Airlines with unique, high-quality entertainment for its passengers.

The American Airlines Austin City Limits-branded video channel features a variety of musical genres and artists. From a classic early episode featuring Roy Orbison to recent seasons showcasing musical superstars such as Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Radiohead and Foo Fighters, passengers can choose from eight episodes each month.

The multi-faceted partnership also includes American Airlines’ status as The Official Airline Partner of Austin City Limits’ Season 43, as well as National Production Underwriter and Event Sponsor for the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame episode honouring Roy Orbison, Rosanne Cash and The Neville Brothers, which aired on New Year‘s Eve. American Airlines will be a National Underwriter for the future television premiere of the award-winning documentary film A Song For You: The Austin City Limits Story directed by filmmaker Keith Maitland.

The Austin City Limits series is currently available for inflight entertainment exclusively on American Airlines flights. It will become available to the wider inflight market in 2019.
