Emirates connect with VIPs and fans at the ATP finals

Emirates continues its high-profile five year deal as Official Airline Partner of the ATP World Tour season finale, happening this week in London.  Initially signed in December 2012, the agreement has established Emirates as the official airline and Platinum Partner of the ATP World Tour as well as the season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.

The Barclays ATP World Tour Finals represents the climax of the tennis season as the world’s top eight player battle to clinch the number one status.   Speaking of the sponsorship, Laurie Berryman Vice President Emirates UK said, “The ATP World Tour is certainly one of the world’s most prominent tennis tournaments and a seamless platform for Emirates to further strengthen its association with elite sport.”

“As the official airline for the ATP World Tour, Emirates is well placed to continue engaging with tennis fans around the world and, of course, here in London. There is a large base of tennis enthusiasts here, and also a large base of travel-savvy consumers with whom we’d like to connect by providing them access to world-class tennis action, as well as access to Dubai and beyond through our eight daily flights from London Heathrow and Gatwick.”

In true Emirates style, the airline is providing its ATP guests with first-class hospitality throughout the tournament within the Emirates lounge. Conveniently situated in the sponsor village, the lounge accommodates up to 36 guests per session and overlooks the long side of the practice court, providing enviable views of elite players of the sport.

The Emirates hospitality lounge also showcases the popular A380 lounge bar, which will be a complete recreation of the on board experience.   Emirates will challenge tennis enthusiasts in the “Fan Zone” area of the tournament through the Emirates World Tour Challenge. Fans will venture to hit the most destinations on the interactive Emirates route map within a set time. Their attempts will be transmitted on to their chosen social media network page.

During the finals, Emirates is hosting a range of competitions, including giving one lucky spectator the chance to steal the spot light on-court before the first Singles Match commences. Prizes include 90,000 Skyward Miles, the equivalent to a business or an economy class return ticket to Dubai from London coupled with a three night stay in a deluxe room, including breakfast, at the prestigious JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai.

As part of its continued commitment to the sport, Emirates donated 2,000 tennis balls to the Tennis Foundation in support of its vision to ensure that the tennis continues to be an inclusive and accessible sport for the entire community. The donated tennis balls will be distributed across the various projects run by the Tennis Foundation.

Guest appearances at the Emirates Lounge have included payers from the tournament and players from the Arsenal football team, who play at the Emirates stadium in North London.
