Popcorn PR announced as Thorpe Park Resort’s retained agency

Popcorn PR has been appointed by Thorpe Park Resort as its retained consumer PR agency, following a highly competitive pitch.

Home to over 30 rides, attractions and live events, including one of Europe’s fastest rollercoaster’s Stealth; Thorpe Park Resort welcomes 1.5million visitors each year as part of Merlin Entertainments plc’s family of over 120 visitor attractions.

Thorpe Park Resort has brought Popcorn PR onboard to deliver an immersive campaign, focussing on ‘A Year of Unmissable Events’, that will see the Resort host a series of new events, against the backdrop of the park’s 40 th birthday celebrations.
Popcorn will be responsible for implementing a multi-faceted strategic PR programme, executing activity around key campaigns and ‘wow’ calendar events such as Thorpe Park Resort’s Fright Nights, handling launch activity around the park’s news, whilst also managing VIP, media and influencer engagement.

Covering both big brand activity and press office, the integrated campaign will see Popcorn’s strategic proactive and reactive approach in full swing, with exciting photo stunts, immersive activity, and VIP launches, all ensuring ongoing thrill and positive brand appraisal amongst both existing Thorpe Park Resort fans and new guests.
