Creative agency RPM has announced a new client win with New Balance in line with their sponsorship of the Virgin Money London Marathon as the official clothing and footwear partner. On the 19th October, RPM co-produced the launch event at Village Underground, East London, to announce New Balance’s partnership and to launch the New Balance London Marathon Acceptance range of footwear and apparel which is now available from the London flagship store on Oxford Street and online.
The relationship between New Balance and the London Marathon dates back to the early 80’s, when the race was first founded.
RPM will be working with the brand to activate at The Virgin Money London Marathon Expo, as well at other events organised by London Marathon Events Ltd in the run-up to the Virgin Money London Marathon, as part of New Balance’s sponsorship agreement.
The agency will be managing the creative and production for the UK division of the brand who are focused on creating enhanced marathon event experiences, improving runner performances and fostering a life-long love for running and fitness.
Dom Robertson, managing director of RPM comments: “We’re incredibly excited for this new partnership with New Balance. We have over 6 years’ experience working with Virgin Money at the London Marathon and are looking forward to using our knowledge and expertise to assist New Balance in their mission to broaden the appeal of running and get more people participating in the sport.”
Both New Balance and Virgin Money London Marathon share similar values and are commitment to making a significant impact on the running community. They are both focused on creating enhanced event experiences, improving runner performances and fostering a life-long love of running and fitness. RPM will be working with New Balance to ensure this message comes to life at the events.
